Planning your Journey to LCI Congress - 2017 LCI Congress blog

We have two new LCI Congress blogs posted with updates on Gemba Day and insights into the Southern California industry trends!

LA/Orange County Community of Practice (CoP) leader Shaun Sleeth with McCarthy Building Companies says 2017 LCI Congress attendees have much to get excited about because of the vast experience California-based project teams have in Lean design and construction. Shaun also names specific owners dedicated to a Lean or Integrated approach in the area. Checkout his featured blog!

In the Go to the Gemba blog you’ll see what you can learn from your Gemba Walk choices offered the last day of Congress week on Friday, Oct. 20. Also, learn a bit more about the Gemba Trainings on Wed., Oct. 18.

Community of Practice (CoP) Corner - COLLABORATION ANYONE?

One of the key takeaways from LCI’s National Practice Team’s March meeting was that CoP leaders were eager to have the capability to easily network. In July, CoP leaders were provided with a registration link to join our National Practice Leaders “Slack” team. This collaboration tool allows us to create unique interest “channels” for a particular group, direct message with one another, share best practices and successes and seek input with a particular challenge a group may be facing. CoP leaders, if you haven’t already signed up, please take a few minutes to join our team today!

While we, as a team, want to be able to collaborate with one another, likewise, we want those who are interested in learning more about Lean, LCI and our local communities to be able find us! CoP leaders, please take a moment to review your CoP's webpage. Any requested changes should be sent to derminger@leanconstruction.org. As 2017 LCI Congress is fast approaching, now is a great time to be sure you are conveying the message you want others to know about your CoP and how to contact you!

Does your CoP have an innovative idea to share? Send them to Denise Erminger at derminger@leanconstruction.org!
