LCI 2017 Congress Sponsorship/Exhibitor Opportunities

Be a part of the fastest growing Lean event in the United States – showcase your brand through sponsorship/exhibitor opportunities at the LCI 2017 Annual Congress! Last year’s record breaking attendance of 1,325 Lean professionals was the fifth year of consecutive growth, and this year we expect a 30 percent increase in attendance over our 2016 numbers.

This week’s featured sponsorship is our Writing Journal Sponsorship - $18,500***

This is a great opportunity to give Congress attendees something that they can use during and after Congress. Each registered attendee will receive a journal with their conference bag. The journal will have your company name and logo on it, specified to your design

  1. Journal will be embossed with your company logo
  2. Pre- and- Post Congress attendee lists
  3. Listing in Congress app with logo and 75-word description
  4. Name/Logo recognition on all LCI printed literature, including program, LCI website, Congress e-mails and LCI Update

Give Congress attendees the experience of having their journals personalized – with laser engraving – of their names or other chosen text. The personalization tables will be near registration so as soon as attendees pick up their conference bags, they can immediately have their journals personalized. Can’t get to it right away? The personalization tables will be open during registration hours on Wednesday and Thursday (times TBD).

GlobalFoundries, LCI owner member goes Lean

In June, GlobalFoundries, an LCI owner corporate member, was featured in an article by TimesUnion. Preston McDaniel, LCI's New York CoP co-chair and head of facilities construction at GlobalFoundries, was featured giving credit to "Lean practices" for how they delivered a more successful project when constructing large and expensive buildings. McDaniel said "Our general principals are focused on enabling the construction trade partners to form integrated teams and apply Lean construction practices to their project efforts."

Community of Practice (CoP) Corner – Michigan CoP Reformation

In an initiative to generate interest in Lean, on June 22nd the group hosted an Introduction to Last Planner System® – Villego® training event. The workshop was 100% corporate sponsored which allowed invited guests to participate free of charge. The Formational Core Group each selected and then personally extended invitations. There were 24 participants including a diverse representation of the supply chain consisting of owners, architects and designers, general contractors and specialty contractors, all with wide-ranging levels of Lean knowledge from some experience, some general knowledge, to "no idea!"

The assembly of a cross-representation of participants and varied knowledge levels provided for robust conversations and team interaction throughout the day. The workshop was facilitated by Jeff Creighton and Bradley Hanpeter, Lean Leadership Team at Barton Malow, and Tariq Abdelhamid, Chief Lean Performance Officer at Michigan State University. Barton Malow provided the training space, with coffee and lunch being sponsored by Baron Malow and Limbach. Many thanks to the companies and individuals who donated their time, talent and resources to host such a successful event!

The Formational Core Group believes that by structuring their team with company leaders they have removed the constraint of waiting for authorization and can move to action quickly. Stay tuned for more about the reforming Michigan CoP!
