Words of Wisdom

Myth #2 of 5 About IPD and Lean: “IPD contracts are too complicated, and Lean tools are too rigid.”
The Myth Busted: Teams have the freedom to adapt Lean tools and processes to the needs of specific projects and while most IPD contracts are customized, some templates are emerging. Investing time to understand the project’s contract and Lean approach is part of the effective on-boarding process. See video on 5 Myths Busted about IPD and Lean at

LCI 2017 Congress Sponsorship/Exhibit Opportunities

Be a part of the fastest growing Lean event in the United States – showcase your brand through sponsorship/exhibit opportunities at the LCI 2017 Annual Congress! Each year, our event grows exponentially and this year we expect a 30 percent increase in attendance over last year’s number of 1,325.

This week’s featured sponsorship is our Writing Journal Sponsorship - $18,500***

This is a great opportunity to give Congress attendees something that they can use during and after Congress. Each registered attendee will receive a journal with their conference bag. The journal will have your company name and logo on it, specified to your design

  1. Journal will be embossed with your company logo
  2. Pre and Post Congress attendee lists
  3. Listing in Congress app with logo and 75-word description
  4. Name/Logo recognition on all LCI printed literature, including program, LCI website, Congress e-mails and LCI Update

Give Congress attendees the experience of having their journals personalized – with laser engraving – of their names or other chosen text. The personalization tables will be near registration so as soon as attendees pick up their conference bags, they can immediately have their journals personalized. Can’t get to it right away? The personalization tables will be open during registration hours on Wednesday and Thursday (times TBD).

Congress exhibit booths are going fast - be sure to get your spot today!

Community of Practice (CoP) Corner

The Work Session in Ft. Worth, Texas, on March 28th had representation from 29 CoPs, the Practice Committee and LCI Staff, collectively the CoP National Team! The day had a robust agenda that began with an LCI National update, followed by several sessions where all provided input and ideas around strengthening our CoPs, development of standardized work practices, future marketing initiatives and the delivery of four standard building block events in all CoPs. At the day’s conclusion, the noted desire of the group as a whole to be able to mentor and network with one another in an effort to advance each CoP was an awesome takeaway! Many thanks to everyone who took time away from their family and “day job” to be a part of this collaborative Work Session!
