Building on our recent lean coffee where we discussed how to handle a labor shortage in the industry, the LCI Carolina chapter has invited three local companies to discuss how they use offsite construction and prefabrication to reduce onsite manpower and improve project quality. Bernhard MCC, Starr Electric and EAS will present on their approach to prefabrication and offsite construction. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion where the audience can ask questions of the three presenters.

Speakers:

Tom Boudreaux is BernhardMCC’s Senior VP of Engineering. Tom has over 40 years of engineering and mechanical construction experience. Tom is BMCC’s LEAN champion for both our engineering group and our fabrication operation.

David Evans is a Senior Vice President for Starr Electric Company, Inc. and a 25-year construction industry veteran. David helped found the modular division at Starr Electric Company and has helped create new techniques in prefabrication and modular construction such as interior and exterior electrical rooms, power skids, battery storage, and other electrical modular capabilities. David is a licensed general contractor and brings an expanded way of modular thinking to Starr Electric Company.

As the Director of Business Development at Environmental Air Systems since 1996, Charlie Dick provides industrial economic development and business development for the Carolinas and Virginia for chemical, process manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and Mission Critical applications.
