Turner/MSFT presentation on High Risk Activity integration in LPS
Safety planning is often an isolated process from other construction processes such as trade coordination, change order management, quality control/quality assurance, and project meetings. Engaging front line craft workers, supervisors, management and safety professionals with a common language and understanding of High Risk Activities (HRAs) will provide a more comprehensive process to plan and mitigate the potential for serious injuries or incidents. This presentation will explain how HRAs are fully integrated with the Last Planner System and other processes to eliminate the treatment of safety as a silo and independent from project coordination. The presenters will explain how HRAs are incorporated in contract schedules, pull plans, Weekly Work Plans, Make Ready Meetings, Daily Huddles and morning stretch and flex. The panel members, will give their perspective of the process as trade partners, Microsoft, general contractor, and safety professionals. We must plan for smooth reliable flow. We must make a plan for quality! And, most importantly, we must plan to be injury free!
