Big Rooms are arguably the most important strategy in the Lean Construction tool kit. Facilitation is a core competency every Lean leader needs to help their team be the magic! Come learn by doing in this hands on workshop.

This training session will introduce the concept of a Big Room and how it fits into the design and construction process.  Participants will learn why we use a Big Room, the different types, how to create the ideal space and how technology supports a Big Room.  They also learn how to effectively manage the time spent in this highly collaborative setting.


Sam Spata is an architect with 25 years executive experience, advising clilents and guiding design operations in capital project delivery.  He is the Owner and Principal of MethodLean, consultant to Owners, Consultants, Designers and Constructors. A past member of the LCI Board of Directors, Sam has developed the Lean Progression©, a framework to accelerate Lean implementation.  He is an Improved Instructor with LCI; a CES certified course provider with the AIA.
