Cory Rackley, Construction Director for Flintco in Oklahoma City

Joining Flintco as a general laborer on Mercy Hospital in 1991, Cory Rackley’s leadership ability and work ethic quickly catapulted him through the ranks. As a Sr. Superintendent, Cory led construction efforts on over $400 million worth of work and was promoted to Construction Director in 2013. Cory earned his BS in Construction Management in 1999. Cory has been instrumental in bringing Lean to the Flintco Oklahoma City office, and continues to lead the charge on continuous improvement.

Carlos Flores, Superintendent for Flintco in Southwest Region

From Chihuahua, Mexico, Carlos graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering in 2012. After beginning his construction career in West Texas, Carlos came on board as a Flintco Superintendent at the Dilkon Health Center project in December 2019. Carlos is instrumental in the sustaining the long-term success of the Lean practices in use on this remote large-scale health care and works with his team daily to find small wins and optimize processes.

Gabe Smith, Project Engineer for Flintco Industrial

Originally from Houston, TX, Gabe began his career as a laborer, quickly gaining extensive experience in field operations. Upon joining Flintco Industrial, Gabe became part of a team constructing the City of Austin’s downtown District Cooling Plant III (DCP3). He serves as the project’s Lean champion, guiding the implementation of various Lean practices – including the LPS®, prefab/modularization, & just-in-time delivery. Gabe has a degree in Construction Mgmt. from the University of Houston.

Melanie Gilbertson, Lean Manager for Flintco

Melanie spent 10 years in construction operations as a project manager before transitioning to Lean Manager at Flintco in 2016. Today, Melanie oversees the implementation and maintenance of Lean practices on all Flintco projects. She develops curriculum and provides Lean education to internal and external users on Lean2.0®, Flintco’s approach to Lean, as well as specific Lean practices and general Lean knowledge. She has a BS in Construction Management from Oklahoma State University.

Heather Ormonde, Lean Manager for Flintco

Heather Ormonde is a Lean Manager for Flintco Construction. She was the co-founder, and is currently the leader, for the Lean Construction Institute’s Oklahoma Community of Practice. Heather has worked with companies such as Flintco, OU Medicine, Disney, Intel, Hensel Phelps, JE Dunn. Heather is a CM-Lean instructor, LCI instructor, as well having a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. She holds a Bachelors in Interior Design and a Masters in Construction Mgmt.
