Please join us for an interactive workshop exploring the practical application of implementing Last Planner System ® during the design and development phases of a project. Participants will learn why it is important to collaboratively plan during design phases and how Last Planner System® is an effective tool to support improved delivery for their projects. This use of Last Planner System® is adapted to the specifics of design, which is about advancing the flow of information and merges elements of Lean, Last Planner System ® and Agile Management techniques. Last Planner System® has been used by teams during design to stabilize their delivery process by keeping all team members’ needs being met reliably. This LCI education course will include a hand on simulation utilizing a fictitious project, so attendees will be able to practice each element of LPS as it is applied to the design phases of a project
In this workshop, Christian Pikel will present key topics and lessons for applying Last Planner System® based production planning to the design phase of a project. Participants will learn why it is important to break down traditional large design document set deliverables into a map of information hand-offs and to view question resolution as milestones.
Attendees should have a working understanding of Last Planner system® as applied in construction.
This course is registered with AIA CES for 4 LU credits
