Introduction to Lean Project Delivery – An LCI Learning Module

This Introduction to Lean Project Delivery webinar will introduce Lean as relative to the design and construction industry. Participants will learn why Lean matters for their projects and why they should care. They will be introduced to the key principles and wastes that are foundational to Lean. 

After this presentation, participants will have an overview understanding of: 

• How to define Lean and the principles associated with a Lean operating system 

• The principles and tools relevant to Lean design and construction processes 

• How to recognize various types of waste in the industry and how Lean approaches reduce, minimize and/or eliminate waste 

• How increasing collaboration and communication through application of structured planning systems and processes improves projects 

Kristin Hill – Director, Program Development – Lean Construction Institute

Kristin leads the Lean Construction Institute’s (LCI)’s education direction, working closely with the Education Committee. Her 11 years of coaching experience include being president of her own Lean consulting firm InsideOut Consulting. Kristin was the executive editor of LCI’s publication, Target Value Delivery: Practitioner Guidebook to Implementation – Current State 2016, and she was among the team of collaborators for LCI’s first publication, Transforming Design and Construction: a Framework for Change. She was also Chair of the LCI Standards Committee.
