Agenda: (CST)

  • 9:30–9:45am: Introductions
  • 9:45–10:50am: PART 1 – Basic Phase Pull Planning (Block Tower) Simulation (Break-Out Groups)

* 10 minute break *

  • 11:00–11:45am: PART 2 – Tips/Discussion on Effective Phase Pull Planning Meetings
  • 11:45–Noon: Key Takeaways & Questions, Plus / Deltas “Pull” – A method of advancing work when the next in line customer is ready to use it. A

“Request” from the customer signals that the work is needed and is “pulled” from the performer. Pull releases work when the system is ready to use it. Phase Pull Planning is a typical first step in lean implementation on AEC projects.

Phase Pull Planning meetings help to:

  1. make handoffs explicit between workers to deliver key milestones
  2. establish common work paths
  3. experiment with sequencing alternatives
  4. consider different production rates for the supply chain.
