This discussion will center on how to implement the discipline of PDCA thinking when applied to problem solving. We’ll discuss the various aspects of the A3 document including background, problem statement, analysis, proposed corrective actions and expected results. We’ll complete the discussion with an interactive practical exercise.
Felipe Hernandez has been with Beck Architecture for five years and within the last year has been tasked to implement Lean Thinking and Lean Tools to Beck’s Austin Regional Office – Tools such as the Last Planner® System for Design, A3 Training, Huddle Boards, and Target Value Design. Felipe is currently working on a $113M addition and renovation to The Omni Barton Creek Hotel and Spa, in which these tools are being utilized in daily activities.

Over the last five years, Kent has constructed over $100M in projects within the health care market, utilizing A3 documents extensively.
