| Aug 11, 2010 | 2nd presentation in the IPD series: Integrated Project
Delivery (IPD); make it work for you and your trade partner (Houston, TX)
Traditional facility design processes have
traditional patterns which have supported several generalized procurement
and contracting models such as “design bid build”, “design build”, “CM”, and
“CM at risk”. These contracting models typically manage work separately and
hand off work from party to party. More often than not, the work is later
confronted with coordination issues “downstream” containing conflicts
causing costs to rise because of the unpredictability of the “work.” Lean
and IPD Methodologies offer the ability to have all parties contribute to
the design process from the outset to eliminate these issues and produce a
more reliable and predictable product with greater value and control over
costs. Registration details are at: |

Performance Teams - Establishing an Integrated Approach to Project Delivery
